Tips & Advice

OIL LEVEL TEST

The customer checks the oil level and add oil when there is a lack.Oil is essential to reduce friction and mechanical loss, so it is necessary to consider the following: timeliness oil change and to keep the oil level where it should be, and the engine that contains a good level of oil does not need a lot of energy to run different pieces and therefore consumes less fuel.

SAFETY DISTANCE BETWEEN CARS

Good Weather – During daylight with good, dry roads and low traffic volume, you can ensure you’re a safe distance from the car ahead of you by following the “three-second rule.” Inclement Weather, Heavy Traffic, or Night-Time Driving – In heavy traffic, at night, or when weather conditions are not ideal, double the three second rule to six seconds, for added safety. Poor Weather – If the weather conditions are very poor, start by tripling the three second rule to nine seconds to determine a safe following distance. Tailgating – Following a vehicle too closely is called ‘tailgating’. Tailgating is an agressive driving behaviour that is easily mistaken for road rage. Use the three-second rule to avoid tailgating.

TIRE INFLATION

Tires are one of the most important parts on your car. Tires not properly inflated will wear out quickly, waste fuel, and can cause a collision. Under-inflation creates excessive heat, and can lead to tire failure, which could result in vehicle damage and/or serious injury or death.Statistics and research on transportation indicate that due to tire under-inflation, at least 260,000 accidents happen per year

REASONS FOR OVERHEATING CAR ENGINES

Bad Thermostat — Severe engine overheating can often damage a good thermostat. Cooling system leaks — Loss of coolant because of a coolant leak is probably the most common cause of engine overheating. Leaky Head Gasket — Bad news because repairs are expensive. A leaky head gasket can allow coolant to seep into the engine’s cylinders or crankcase. Fan Not Working — With mechanical fans, most engine overheating problems are caused by a faulty fan clutch

ENVIRONMENT TIPS

Have your car tuned regularly. An engine tune-up can improve car fuel economy by an average of 1 mile per gallon.Keep your tires properly inflated. Under-inflated tired can decrease fuel economy by up to 1 mile per gallon.Slow down. The faster you drive, the more gasoline your car uses.Driving at 65 miles per hour rather than 55 miles per hour reduces fuel economy by about 2 miles per gallon.

DRIVING TIPS FOR WINTER CONDITIONS

Know your route and keep abreast of weather conditions Drink plenty of water. Eat enough food Pack a winter travel safety kit. Slow down. Keep a light touch on the controls. Know how to recover from skids. Keep your tires in good condition and properly inflated. Make frequent rest stops. If you get stuck, stay in your vehicle
